Financial Abuse
“ Some men rob you with a six-gun, others rob you
with a fountain pen.” —Woody
Guthrie

the weapons and schemes that crooks and financial predators now use, which
include cell phones, powers of attorney, hand-held scanners, living trusts,
and the Internet. How and why seniors are vulnerable to financial crimes,
and what can be done about it, are primary concerns of Nerenberg’s
whose activities in the area include the following:
- Testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation
at the hearing Fraud: Targeting America's Seniors. http://commerce.senate.gov/hearings/0804ner.pdf [PDF:15.3
